Ray Kincaid has become one of my favorite rising hip hop artists out of Jackson, Mississippi.\u00a0 From his unique sound and delivery to his clever word play, it\u2019s hard not to take notice of the young artist. He recently released his album Artistic Depression<\/em> but is already busy working on another project titled Bizarre Arcade 2 <\/em>which he hopes to release a little later in the year.<\/p>\n

I got a chance to hear two exclusive tracks off the upcoming album; \u201cShameful Turn Up 74\u201d and \u201cProving Ground.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShameful Turn Up 74\u201d is actually the prelude to \u201cThe Shameful Turn Up\u201d off of his previous album.<\/p>\n

Ray decided to put his bars to the side for this track and showcase his vocals. The track was definitely 70\u2019s influenced as you can hear in the funkadelic and disco sounds, and if you\u2019re a fan of Texas chopped and screwed music you can appreciate how the vocals are chopped and screwed.\u00a0 It\u2019s a fun, chill, summer track with an ole school feel but still very much new school.<\/p>\n

Shameful Turn Up 74′<\/em><\/p>\nhttp:\/\/thedoublescoop2.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/disco.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n

In Proving Ground<\/em> Kincaid brings the bars. The \u201chip hop Clark Kent\u201d as he calls himself is ready to put his cape on and go to war with these other rappers using his lyricism. The word play in the song was dope and humorous \u00a0at times.<\/p>\n

Freight train f*ucking the rap game<\/em><\/p>\n

It never ever came<\/em><\/p>\n

So I guess I gotta go a little deeper to reach her..<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>I\u2019m not a teacher<\/em><\/p>\n

I\u2019m not a preacher<\/em><\/p>\n

I\u2019m just tryna give you something new<\/em><\/p>\n

Tryna feed yo mind with this lyrical voodoo<\/em><\/p>\n

Just on those two tracks alone I\u2019m sure the finished project will be a musical masterpiece.<\/p>\n
